Amazing Grace

Date: 10th June, 2010

Merseytravel commissioned internationally renowned artist Stephen Broadbent, to create a piece of artwork celebrating the connection between the hymn 'Amazing Grace' and its author John Newton, a former slave ship captain and Tide Surveyor of Liverpool.

  • WINNING ARTISTS' WORK IS JUST THE TICKET

    The third annual Art on the Network competition, which focused on poster art, offered artists from across Merseyside the chance to showcase their work to thousands of commuters and visitors, with the winning entries being incorporated into limited edition Merseytravel publications.

  • HALLOWE'EN ANTICS ON THE RIVER MERSEY

    A FREE afternoon of Hallowe’en family fun descends upon Woodside Ferry Terminal on Sunday 30th October. Organised by Open Culture, Shiverpool and Mersey Ferries the ‘Spooktacular Woodside Family Day’ invites guys and ghouls of all ages to enjoy an array of spookily themed arts and crafts fun from 12 noon until 4pm.
